HEVIA working together with partners and local communities in Uganda starting with the rural Kiruhura and Kamwenge Districts is determined to change the Community by mobilizing the power of people against poverty. HEVIA works to find practical, innovative ways for people to lift themselves out of poverty and thrive. We save lives and help rebuild livelihoods when crisis strikes. And we campaign so that the voices of the poor influence the local and National decisions that affect them. We provide solutions that are sustainable and realistic against poverty.

In all we do HEVIA works with partner organizations and alongside vulnerable women and men in the forgotten communities to end the injustices that cause poverty.

​Many youth start business and because of lack of entrepreneurship skills most these business in Rural Uganda do not get a chance to enjoy their first anniversary caused by lack of business skills. Equipping the youth with practical business skills gives them confidence. It identifies and confronts the gaps, negative attitude, beliefs which acts as obstacles, changes the mind set of these individuals and brings hope of starting a sustainable business. ​
