Amidst tough times economically, HEVIA Uganda get most out of the meager resources has many tremendous change and great impact on people’s life in the communities where it is currently operating.
A clinic has been established initially in Keicumu but because of the long distance it was moved to Engari which is the middle of communities where it’s currently serving. Since its inception, many achievements have been made. The clinic treats over 160 Children in disease like Malaria and diarrhea, 200 mothers some of whom receive maternity and 60 elderly men every month.
With Uganda becoming a hotbed of unemployment, a reality that is making aspiration of earning a dollar per day a mirage and those who can their jobs are characterized as working poverty. HEVIA through its partners have raised funds that has enable starting up of 20 agribusinesses in piggery and Poultry farming that has changed peoples’ life. In addition 27 small scale businesses have also commenced their operations all as a result of HEVIA’ efforts to change the vulnerable communities.
