Who We Are
Health Vision Agency-Uganda (HEVIA), established in November 2013, is a non-profit organization that connects well wishers to the Uganda’s rural and frequently forgotten communities. After working for 3 years and seeing how the communities were exceedingly forgotten in terms of Healthcare, Education, Income and Conservation, a group of 20 youth led by Mr. Deus Mwijuke pulled their meager savings together and formed a Community Based Organisation called Health Vision Agency-Uganda aimed at raising funds from the well wishers to use it in addressing challenges faced in Healthcare, Education, Poverty and Conservation in these forgotten communities in Uganda starting with the rural Kiruhura and Kamwenge Districts.
The Agency aims at creating long-term, self-sustaining projects that enrich the livelihoods of local communities, promote the conservation of the environment, Health and Educated Communities. |
HEVIA operations have and continue to expand and focus are Advancement in Education through Scholarships, Health through Mass mobilization on HIV/AIDS Prevention (Prevention is better than Cure approach) and Counseling to the Victims of HIV/AIDS (not forgotten Approach), Entrepreneurship and Conservation are backed by a foundation of Community Engagement. The Agency receives funding through conducting fund raising campaigns and Proposal writing to corporate organizations as well as private donations (from well wishers who donate directly to the Agency).
